Monsoon in Newcastle!

It’s raining cats and dogs since Monday. Never before have I seen such lashing rains and incessantly glooming black clouds over this city. Rain used to be a topic of jokes here. A drizzle here and a drizzle there, throughout the year. We don’t even have an umbrella!! So you can imagine, what rainy season means to this city.

But nah, not this time around. It’s cold, windy, and raining outside. The dark clouds gather around early morning and never say a word of leaving till late at night. Hmm...so I am doing what is supposed to be the best thing to do in such times, reading a fat book whilst sipping hot coffee. Aah! :)

My last week in this city before I fly over to my swades. It’s so strange that 7-8 months seems to fly past you. But the last month or more so the last weeks, are the longest ones you have ever encountered. I can count the hours, the minutes and even the seconds in between. One more week to go before I can sit on the plane and fly past the clouds into my noisy Mumbai. Heard that it’s raining heavily there too!
